Global Learning Scholar Certificate

The Global Learning Scholar Certificate recognizes students who demonstrate a commitment to global learning through their academic journey at Florida International University. By completing Global Learning courses, students develop the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to engage with diverse cultures and address complex global challenges.  

Eligibility

Students are eligible to earn the GL Scholar Certificate upon completion of four (4) or more Global Learning courses. The certificate serves as a formal recognition of your dedication to developing global awareness and intercultural understanding.

Applications are open through November 30, 2026, for students graduating in Fall 2026.

To be eligible, you must have successfully completed four (4) or more Global Learning-designated courses.

Important Note: Students currently enrolled in the Global Learning Medallion Program may receive either the Global Learning Medallion or the Global Learning Scholar Certificate, but not both.
