Rola Zahr
Bio
Rola is the Assistant Director at Global First Year. She is currently pursuing her PhD in higher education at FIU. She holds both a BBA in business analytics and a master’s degree in higher education from FIU. Rola is also a board member of the Florida Association of International Educators, actively contributing to the promotion of international education in the state.
With a multicultural background, having been raised in Lebanon and having lived in Brazil, Rola brings a unique perspective to her role. She has nine years of experience in teaching, which has further enhanced her understanding of global educational systems and approaches. Rola's proficiency in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, Portuguese, and Spanish, has proven to be invaluable in assisting international students with their educational, cultural, and social concerns.
Rola is deeply committed to supporting and guiding international students, enabling them to thrive within the university and the broader community. She finds great honor in her role and is dedicated to helping students flourish and make the most of their educational experiences.
