Bio
Dr. Uma Swamy is a Teaching Professor and General Chemistry Coordinator in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Her interests lie in designing courses and assignments to explore and examine chemical principles and apply them to explain the world around them. This will allow students to recognize the impact of chemistry on society - both locally and globally - and to develop an appreciation for the central role chemistry plays in our society and its role in addressing a variety of social, economic and environmental issues.
