Bio

Jeanette Smith, a former attorney, is a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor for the department of Religious Studies. She teaches core courses in Religion, along with exciting global learning offerings in Faith in Social Justice, Religion & Fantasy, and Religion & Science Fiction. Jeanette has studied abroad extensively, which has fueled her interest in Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and her appointment as the university's inaugural COIL Faculty Fellow in 2021. She is enthusiastic about the opportunities that COIL, Virtual Study Abroad, and Global Learning bring to both students and faculty.
