Gene Rosenberg, Ph.D. in Marine Biology, is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, and a Faculty Associate of the Kimberly Green Latin American & Caribbean Center and Cuban Research Institute. His areas of expertise are phsyiological and community ecology of marine algae, biogeography and floristics of marine algae, and international scientific cooperation. An advocate for Global Learning since its inception at FIU, Rosenberg enjoys teaching at universities abroad, especially in Lain America.
