My name is Laura De Carli and I have been a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at FIU since Aug. 2002. I earned my Bachelor's at the Univ. of Pisa in Italy and my Ph.D. at UCLA, in 1993. Before joining FIU I was a professor at the University of Naples (Italy) and a visiting professor at the University of Missouri. My research specialty is Harmonic Analysis and Functional Analysis. I am enthusiastic about the history of mathematics and I have redesigned two history of mathematics classes with global learning components. Our global learning program is instrumental to give our students a well rounded education and to form global citizens of a global world. I am proud to be part of it.
