Bio

Dr. Alok Doeraj is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences of the College of Public Health and Social Work at FIU. His primary focus is on teaching Global and Environmental Public Health courses to undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students, which includes Global Learning (GL) designated courses. His research interest is in the Environmental Toxicology area to delineate gene-environment interactions of complex environmental exposures to cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. At FIU, he is also a member of faculty of the Global Health Department, the Biomolecular Sciences Institute (BSI), the STEM Transformation Institute, as well as the Statistical Machine Learning Group (SMLG).
