Tovah Bender

Bio

Dr. Tovah Bender is an Associate Teaching Professor in History and has served on the Global Learning Curriculum Committee since 2019. She teaches a range of undergraduate courses focused on Western Europe during the Medieval and Early Modern period. In each of her courses, she encourages students to consider what they learn from the perspectives of those they are studying, while challenging them to move beyond what they think they know about both the past and the world around them.
