Dr. Adelman is the Director of Early Childhood Education and a Clinical Associate Professor. Her expertise includes early childhood special education, culturally responsive instruction, child development, assessment, and emotional intelligence. Her current research focuses on the impact of an emotional intelligence and cultural responsiveness approach on young children at risk and their families. Dr. Adelman's global learning course has students selecting an area of advocacy and working in the field to promote agency and action on a local, national, and global scale.
