Collaboration Tools

Collaborations between faculty and student affairs bridge students' experiences inside of and outside of the classroom.  These tools will help you find and reach out to faculty and academic departments to collaborate with on your next event.

Faculty Experts Database

The Faculty Experts Database is a collection of global learning faculty who have provided keywords relating to their areas of interest and expertise.  Search the database to locate faculty members who you may collaborate with.  Contact information is provided right in the document!

Tagging Events in the University Calendar

Tagging events in the University Calendar is the official way to document global learning co-curricular activities in your department.  Tagging an event will link your calendar entry to all other global learning activities, and allow Global Learning co track the global activities occuring throughout campus for SACS reporting.

To tag you event:

1. Log in at calendar.fiu.edu (If you do not have an account, view instructions for creating one here.)

2. Create a new event.  In the event details, type "GlobalLearningActivity" (no spaces) in the "Tags" field.
