CPO 3055 Authoritarian Politics Politics & International Relations The purpose of this course is to identify the conceptual and empirical characteristics of authoritarian regimes. An ideal typical authoritarian regime will be established, followed by case study analyses of modern authoritarian systems, like those of Brazil, Mexico, and Portugal.
