Meet the Staff
Hilary Landorf, Ph.D. is the Director of the Office of Global Learning Initiatives and an Associate Professor in the College of Education. She has a Ph.D. in International Education from New York University, an M.A. from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. from Stanford University. Dr. Landorf's current research interests include integrative global learning in higher education and the connection between global learning and human capability development. She has published widely in national and international journals, and is regularly consulted for her expertise in globalizing K-20 curricula across the curriculum. Her recent publications include "Toward a philosophy of global education" in Visions in Global Education, and "Education for sustainable human development" in Theory and Research in Education.

Stephanie Doscher, Ed.D. is the Associate Director of the Office of Global Learning Initiatives. Dr. Doscher holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Florida International University. Her dissertation was entitled “The Development of Rubrics to Measure Undergraduate Students’ Global Awareness and Global Perspective: A Validity Study (click here to view).” Dr. Doscher also holds an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Western Washington University and a B.A. in History from Emory University. Dr. Doscher's current research interests include assessment strategies for global education, education for human capability development, and educational ethics. She has presented and published papers on these and other topics in numerous international conferences and journals. Recent publications include, "Promoting Engagement in Curriculum Internationalzation" in IEE Networker and "Education for Sustainable Human Development: Towards a Definition" in Theory and Research in Education.

Eric M. Feldman, M.S. is the Coordinator in the Office of Global Learning Initiatives. Eric holds two degrees from FIU, having completed undergraduate work in the School of International and Public Affairs and graduate study in the College of Education. He is Global Learning's "go to" staff member for the planning of engaging, outside-of-the-classroom activities, advising student organizations, managing web communications, developing promotional materials, and collaborating on special outreach projects. In addition, Eric is an instructor for the Honors College, where he teaches a first-year course on college success, research, writing, and leadership skills.

Melissa Winkler is the Program Assistant for the Office of Global Learning Initiatives. She assists in running the day-to-day operations of the office. Ms. Winkler is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

Frank Alexander Rojas, M.S. is a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Global Learning Initiatives. He manages the office's online database of course information and collects and analyzes assessment data. Frank holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration degree at FIU. He plans on continuing his education with a doctoral program. His research interest lies in assessments and evaluations within domestic and international higher education.
